Cookie Policy

This is a short policy because we use very few cookies. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on KaryaDocs, so there is no long list of third-party cookies to disclose. If that changes, this page will change in the same update.
1. What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. We also use your browser's local storage for one setting — Section 3 below distinguishes the two, because they're covered slightly differently under Indian and international cookie guidance.
2. Cookies We Use
Every cookie we set is strictly necessary for the Service to function — none are optional, and none require consent to operate the site, because they don't track you across other websites or serve advertising.

3. What Isn't a Cookie, But Is Similar
If you choose a light, dark, or system-matched display theme, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not a cookie — it never leaves your device or reaches our servers, and clearing your browser's site data removes it the same way clearing cookies would.
4. Cookies on the Public Upload Page
The no-login link a client uses to upload documents does not set the sign-in cookie above — there is no account to sign into. A separate, single-purpose session cookie is used only to keep an in-progress upload page working correctly for the duration of that visit, and expires with the upload link itself.
5. Managing Cookies
Because every cookie we set is necessary for the Service to work, blocking them in your browser will prevent you from staying signed in. You can still clear or block cookies at any time through your browser's settings — instructions vary by browser and are published by each browser vendor.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we ever add analytics, advertising, or any other non-essential cookie, we will update this page to describe it and, where required by law, ask for your consent before it is set.
